And just like that, there were 2 sons!
He is here! 6 weeks and 3 days early our little buddy arrived. He is still in the hospital as I post, but he is doing alright. He was born 6/2/2012 @ 7:29am. He weighed 5lbs 13 ounces and was 18 inches long. Pretty big considering how early he was. Working on his lungs and breathing on his own. And keeping down feedings. Thank you for your prayers!

My Sons... Soon there will be 2
Our newest addition is due July 11th. He will be here before that. We are so excited. Little Cody is excited too. I think he understands. He seems to.
Lil C is really funny these days. To think it wasn't that long ago we were concerned about his lack of talking and all of that. Maybe he was a late bloomer, eh? Well, he has sort of bloomed.
Some of his latest things that show his personality shining through:
He likes to carry things in his hand. A typical day will find him holding a Hot Wheels car, and unsharpened pencil, and a small bouncy ball. Some days we can not leave the house until he has these 3 items. If he has them some time in the day then they are a must for bed time. In the morning he wakes up and looks for them right away.
He loves to play pretend. Lately we have played a lot of Handy Manny. We start with the phone call, "Handy Manny's Repair shop you break it we fix it." We always sing the song to get to tools in the box. then on our way to the job we stop by Mr. Lopark and he never needs out help. We go to the job, the we go to Kelly's then back to finish the job. And we sing the song. the fix it song. Then the phone rings and we do it again. All along the way we change who plays Manny and who is the other people like 4 times each time. It is pretty funny. And for those of you Handy Manny fans out there you can see where he get this play order.
He will also play like we are going on a Rocket adventure a la Little Einstien's, only we get to go too. Some times we play Phineas and Ferb or Word World. Sometimes all these characters combine. He is too funny. I love it. And he likes to sing the these songs.
He still says funny things, cute things, too.
I get "hey, mom, I'm busy here!" a lot.
Well, my munchican just got out of the bath and needs a hotdog with cheese and a bologna wrapped in a tortilla. (His dinner of choice.) So, see you later peeps.

More Lil Cody Quotes
When hearing a sound (any sound, cats fighting, an exercise ball bouncing on the ground, etc...)
"What's that wonderful sound?"
One night he had a mild fever. We took his temperature and then gave him some medicine. The next day...
"Mommy, I have the hiccups. I am sick I need my temperature and some medicine." With this he raised his arm for the thermometer and also pointed at his mouth and then for effect he faked a hiccup. Haha.
After playing at his new friend from churches house he just met....
"Now, I have 2 friends, mommy."
Me: Oh, yah and who are they?
"Noemi & Jacob." (Jacob the new friend, Noemi is one of his friends from our old ward.)
When helping him brush his teeth tonight...
"I do it now, mommy. You brush yours."
When watching the movie Up for the 15th time he still asks
"What happened?" all through it 1/2 the time.
When I looked at the screen and saw Carl at the funeral in Up and told him that his wife died he said...
"That is so sad."
I heard him telling this to a girl in his class at daycare when she sat down for breakfast.
"Isabella, your hair is so beautiful."
Me: "Isabella, did you hear him, Cody said he likes your hair, say thank you."
Isabella: Nothing
Cody: "It is the most beautiful hair I have ever seen."
When his 17 year old sister Stephanie was asking him to watch Monsters Inc. he told her....
"No, we can't. It is too scary for you. Let's watch this one." (He points to the movie Up.)
After the bath when daddy wraps him in his towel he comes to me and says...
"I'm a burrito momma, I'm a burrito." That is courtesy of daddy. :)

"....please bless daddy have good night work. Please bless I get to play Angry Birds now..."
"...please bless mommy and the baby in mommy's tummy and Wal-mart."
While sitting on the potty...
"Get away Mommy! You're makin' me nuts!!"
While learning a how to work the switch on the lamp....
"I'm learning here, momma."
When he sees me at his school where I am currently working...
"Momma... You're back!"
When the cat comes into the house...
"Lady Girl! You're back!" He says this with so much excitement!
When he does not want to do something like go potty or eat....
"no, I'm fine."
When he was playing with daddy and daddy was getting excited (haha)...
"Calm your face, daddy!"
When trying to be gross and funny....
"I am going to burp the ABC's." then he proceeds to burp the ABC's.
This kid is so funny. He cracks me up. What 3 year old asks in his prayer to play Angry Birds or tells his mom she is makin him nuts? Seriously love this boy so much!! Some of it he totally comes up with on his own. Some I know is because he is a parrot. Yikes!
