Lake Tahoe, that is. My computer is hating me right now so I am just going to post some beautiful pictures. Cody and I had a great time. We went with my friend Leslie and her daughter Candice. It was a nice 13 hour road trip. (Each way!) We had a lot of fun. We did a cruise on the lake. We went on a hike to Cascade falls. We did some (tons) of shopping, we went to the beach and we drove up to Virginia City. It was a great time!
The exciting happenings of our little family! This is a little of our life! Enjoy!

Revenge of the Hot Kitty. Also titled how one AZ Kitty Gets her Revenge!
I love this little guy. We went to a yard sale Saturday morning to help raise money for the Scouts in our ward to get to go to camp. This was different than most Saturdays when we go yard sale-ing to buy junk (stuff) for ourselves. We even donate a bunch of stuff. The we in this blog is basically me and Cody.
Poor Bella had to stay home. She is pretty much hating it. I have been leaving the AC on at 79 or 80 degrees. For those of you not in Arizona that is like 20 degrees cooler than the out side. But it is still not too cool for the cat who doesn't get to go out to see how hot it is and then come and and feel the cool 80 degree air conditioned room. Bella expresses her annoyance with me by getting her revenge. (This posting seems to have become about her, after all.) She gets her revenge by waking me up at 5AM everyday. At least a good 30 minutes before I am ready to get up. She pounces on to my bed. Not just a delicate jump, but a hard impact pounce to jostle me out of my slumber. Then she moves on to the night stand to get leverage to get to the window where once she hops over she proceeds to sit in the window and wag her tail (do cats wag their tails?) She moves that long tail back and forth and up and down causing the blinds to hit back and forth. Thump swish swish. Thump Swish swish. Finally agitatedly I say, through gritted teeth in my most authoritative voice I can muster while trying to convince myself I am still asleepBella! At which juncture Bella hops off the window and on to the computer key board and then on to the scanner where she stays and again starts with the tail which inevitably makes me feel like she is going to break some thing so I sit up and give her the Bella! and she hops down and goes into the kitchen. Once in the kitchen she knocks things around. Then meows. By this time I typically debate to get up and shut the door or not. But I want to be able to hear Cody if he wakes up. Plus her liter box is in my bathroom. So I try to ignore her and still pretend to myself I am still asleep, until she ponces on the bed and starts the whole cycle again. By this time about 15 minutes has gone by and my alarm is set to go off in another 15-20. Man, oh man does she get her revenge.
This was her when she was young.
The Bella story totally took over this blog. I will tell you about the rest of our weekend and post more Cody pictures in an upcoming blog.

Korie has inspired me
I feel like I haven't posted a blog here in a long while. It isn't true, it has been since May 2. But since this is an online journal of sorts I want to post more often. At least to get some pictures up. I have been letting my friends inspire me by their good examples. Last night Cody and I went swimming after a comment a friend left me on facebook about how she takes here baby just about every day. We had so much fun. My goal for the swimming is 3 times a week. (No pictures this time as it was just us.)
Here is a random sampling of pictures from the last few weeks.
We went to lunch and Target with Jeaniece and Drewbie the other day. Drew and Cody were being little posers!
Drew kept asking for more pictures. he was loving it. What a little ham!
At Cody's 15 month check up he was not really showing his skills. His doctor is a little concerned that he doesn't walk or talk much. He says mama and Bella. He throws a few other words out there when he feels like it. But not much. Dr. Judie was also a little concerned that he has lost weight. He went from being in the 90 percentile to the 50 percentile. This is Cody's face after she left:
He was like, physical therapy? Really? Waaah. No thanks! I will get it soon! That is what these faces said to me. Dr. Judie also told us, the slow down in weight gaining is normal unless his parents are Amazons. (Hasn't she seen me?) So, since he eats pretty darn good we are not concerned so much. Miss Patti and I hope he doesn't get too skinny. (Like one of his parents.) But with my large size I am hoping he evens out.
And finally, this is yesterday.
On the way home. Ahhh.

Funeral, Family, Disneyland, driving. That is not in order
Grandpa Ferguson passed away. Jeaniece and I took Drew and Cody and we went to California to go to the funeral.
We stay at grandma and grandpa Kern's house. We went to church with them on Sunday and to "the Park" on Monday (you have your way of grieving, I have mine.) Tuesday we drove around with Colissa doing errands and getting stuff ready for the funeral on Wednesday. Wednesday was the funeral and the celebration of life gathering afterward. We drove back yesterday. On the way out of town we stopped at the beach. Cody loooved it. He feel asleep right when we got there and I really wanted him to see it so I woke him up. I had to pat his face to get him to wake up. It was soo worth it. He was so excited! Today Cody and I regrouped a little and then my parent came over. Tomorrow we are going to see Sesame Street Live (I won tickets! Woo-hoo! Thanks Mom Zone!) and possibly yard sale-ing in the morning. Here are pictures of my week. Church was funny.
Me and my seester at church.
On our way to the park. Isn't my grandma cute?
On the tram. The second ride of the day! The first was Jeaniece's driving to get us there. Hahaha. Long standing joke.Who knew Cody would be afraid of Mickey!
Thanks to Deja for making this day happen for us. She's the bestest!
Me and my grandma.
I just realized this is going to be a very loooong post if I keep this up so I am going to skip the rest of the park. You can see more of those pictures on my facebook if you want. I will post 'em soon. On to the next thing.Cody and I each took one flower from the arrangement at the grave. This is his. It is behind his carseat and mine is on the dashboard of my car. The funeral was very nice.
These are my cousin's Colissa and Jane at my Aunt Donna's house after the funeral.
It was good to see everybody. This is me and Cody and grandma Ferguson.
This is Colissa, Grandma Ferguson, Uncle Kenny and his wife Wendy, the Uncle Tim and his wife (also named) Wendy. With me and Coders up front.
Drew and Cody on the way home. I am going to do another post with Cody's magic trick and the beach. They are so cute!
